Art Junction is always looking for people to become Art Junction session leaders available to run all the sessions in the Art Junction portfolio of activities, pre-school sessions, after school sessions, holiday crafts and arts and crafts parties.

What’s Involved

• Session Leaders must obtain CRB clearance which Art Junction can assist with
• Session Leaders must pass a First Aid course
• Each session leader is responsible for looking after their own basic kit of craft materials and equipment
• Session leaders are allocated regular sessions to run and are given any additional materials and equipment required for these as well as lesson plans and appropriate training
• Session leaders are allocated parties and holiday craft sessions according to availability
• The session leader is responsible for setting up the session, explaining the activities, assisting the children with the crafts and clearing away the venue afterwards
• Basic administrative duties directly related to the sessions is also required such as keeping accurate and up to date attendance records

About You

Art Junction is looking for enthusiastic people who

• Enjoy working with children
• Are creative – a background in Art whilst desirable is definitely not essential as training will be given, but we are looking for people who enjoy making and creating
• Are able to work as part of a team and on their own
• Can use their own initiative
• Are able to adapt easily to varying working environments – such as different class layouts
• Can be flexible
• Would like part time hours to fit around family commitments

We are keen to awaken an enjoyment of arts and crafts and the creative side of every child who attends an Art Junction session whether that be a pre-school class, after school class, holiday crafting session or Art Junction craft party.
